It is a sad day in magic for us all as the beloved and highly-revered Eugene Burger has passed away in Chicago at the age of 78. This is especially true for those who were most influenced by Eugene. He was among the pantheon of magic gods and had a long, fruitful life.
He was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer but Eugene, in his own inimitable way, found solace and peace with it through his own wonderful humor and my friend Dr. Larry Hass quoted him as saying, "Now I am on my way to the ultimate capital 'M' Mystery of life."
He will be greatly and sorely missed. Requiescat In Pacem, Eugene.
