We are in a rich period of magic on TV. Besides magician's being frequently featured on America's Got Talent, there are a number of weekly programs on this Summer.
- Penn & Teller: Fool Us - An all new season of this excellent program is on Monday nights at 8pm EDT on TheCW. This season is filmed at P&T's regular venue at The Rio in Las Vegas. In case you watch and wonder, Penn lost over 100 lbs through extreme diet and exercise in order to get his high blood pressure under control.
- The Carbonaro Effect - Magic is set in an unusual context where the spectators are not aware they are watching a magician perform. I found this program grows on you. A new season has started but old episodes are re-run so often I'm not sure what the regularly scheduled time is. It airs on TruTV.
- Masters of Illusion - This fast paced illusion show airs Friday nights at 8pm EDT on TheCW.
