Hello Fellow Magi of the Ann Arbor Magic Club and Friends,
Our meeting is coming up on Wednesday, April 10th and it will feature the AAMC 2nd Annual Close Up Showcase. This competition will allow 6 of our members to present a 5 minute routine to amaze their audience who will vote for the act they like the best. The winner will receive a trophy and bragging rights in the club but more importantly, everyone who competes gets the opportunity to perform for others repeatedly in a short span of time to perfect our craft.
Please remember to try and bring a few relatives or friends to our meeting this month so we will have "extra" audience members for the competition.
More chances to perform are on the horizon. The AAMC Spring Parlor Show will be held on Saturday, May 25th with two shows at 4 and 7 pm. The line up has already been set but we can use members to perform walk around and close up magic before the shows.
Last month at the March meeting we hosted a wonderful lecture by Nathan Kranzo. He had a wide variety of effects for many magical styles and skill levels. It was a great and successful event with a great turnout.
Spring is here and the weather is changing so let's encourage that magic bud to bloom in each of us.
