You won't want to miss the John Sturk lecture coming up next week on Wednesday September 11 at 7:00 PM at the Plymouth Community Arts Council.

The lecture is FREE to local Magic Club Members (AA, Detroit and Toledo). It is $15 for others at the door.
John's lecture will include lessons learned in the trenches from an all-around pro: street busker, restaurant worker, family entertainer, and nightclub performer.

In case you didn't know, John Sturk is an award-winning comedy magician, originally from Plymouth, MI and now residing in Chicago. After graduating from Michigan State University, John moved to Chicago to work at Fun, Incorporated, America's largest magic manufacturer. While a project coordinator by day at Fun, Inc., John was also a co-founder of the Chicago Magic Lounge in 2015, and worked there until 2019. In July 2023, John was elected as the 107th National President of The Society of American Magicians, and completed his term in July 2024.

John's magic has been featured at the Houdini Club of Wisconsin, Abbott's Magic Get-Together, ABC, NBC, WGN, and The Travel Channel, as well as venues all over the midwest and in Las Vegas. In addition to his prestidigitation, John has worked as a piano accompanist for many of the improv theaters of Chicago since 2010. His clients have included The Second City Training Center - Chicago, iO Chicago, Comedysportz, Laugh Out Loud, and The Improv Retreat. In 2018, he became an official artist for Hammond Organs USA.
