Gene Fogel, long time WJR Broadcaster and Hall of Fame journalist was recognized at the October 2016 Ann Arbor Magic Club meeting with an Honorary Membership.
Gene was recognized by the Board for his work over the years of not only promoting Ann Arbor Magic Club events through the 50,000 Watt radio station, but also promoting magic in general in Southeastern Michigan. Thank you, Gene, and welcome!
Gene adds the Club's honor to an impressive list of awards. Gene was awarded the Peabody Award for uncovering corruption in Detroit Federal Bankruptcy Court. He is the recipient of a ” Lifetime Achievement Award ” from the Associated Press, and he is a member of the Michigan Journalism Hall of Fame.
